Resumung after long time

I am posting post after long long time.Less known song from Naya Daur.
All songs of Naya Daur were beautiful but one of little know gem is

Aana hai to aa rah me kuch der nahi hai
Bhagwan ke ghar der hai andher nahi hai.

Kuch kahne ki jarurat nahi aana hi bahut hai
Is Shish pe sar tera jhukana hi bahut hai.
Jo kuch hai tere dil me woh sab usko khabar hai
Bande tere har haal me malik ki najar hai.

This may overshadowed by other superb songs from Naya Daur like Ude Ude jab jab jhulfe teri or Sathi hath badhana or Main Bambai ka Babu (sung on screen by great Johy Walker) but take time out to listen Aana hai to Aaa raah me kuch der nahi hai also. It is like discovering hidden ruby in pile of treasure. Offcourse Naya Daur songs are like pile of treasure. Can't stop saying this - Today's music albums - Pile of Trash all filled with duplicates

One more mansoon Song

Now that mansoon is in full swing , I remebered one more Mansoon song
Kali ghata chaye mera jiya tarsaye.
Beautiful song. Nutan was heroin on whom this song was picturized and Asha Bhosale was playback singer. It doesnt get better than that.
Nutan is my all time favorite heroin. Dev Anand and Nutan have given many many fantastic songs. One of them was - Tu Kahan ye bata is nashile raat me, Mane na mera dil diwana. I will talk about it in some other blog post. But as for today' post would like share some lyrics of -
Kali ghata chaye mora jiya tarsaye
Aise me kahi koi mil jaye.
Bolo kisika ka jaye re kya jaye re kya jaye

Yun hi baginyan me ghumu main khoyi hui
Thodi jaggi hui si thodi soi hui
Mere ankhon me ....

Don't remember. Woulld have listen to CD some tine again on some rainy evening.

Song for mansoon

Now that masoon season is there , I would like to share song for masoon.
Rim-Zim gire sawan, sulagh sulagh jaye maan.
Hero/Heroin strolling along Marine Drive on mansoon day singing the song. Anyone who has stayed in Mumbai can relate to this. Again song of 70's. Excellent lyrics and excellent music. Amitabh was new to movies then.
One of those songs for which I know lyrics quite well -
Rim-Zim gire sawan, sulagh sulagh jaye maan.
Bhige aaj is muasam me lagi kaisi ye lagan.
Mehfil me kaise Kah de kisise
Dil bandh raha hai kisi ajanbi se
Dekhe kaise sapne nayan.
Sulagh Sulagh jaye maan
Fine song. Hope you enjoy singing it during this mansoon. If possible make trip of Marine Drive also. Powers-to-be have tried to remove its charm by doing some kind of beautification :) but most of old world beauty is still there.

Enthusiam of starting new blog - Sharing one more song

In enthusiam of starting new blog, I am sharing second song of the day.
Parda hai, Parda hai from Amar, Akbar, Anthony.
Arguably best kawaali in Hindi movies. It also has nostalgic effect on me. I was kid when Amar Akbar Anthony was released. Those were days of bell bottoms, No televisions, at the max Black and White television (Now what is that). But still world was beautiful and more importantly simple. Same as reflected in movie, in which three sons seperated are raised in three different religions and coming together at the end of film. Perfectly illogical :) but perfectly lovable.
And then this kawwali , in which Krishi Kapoor, Nitu Singh, Amitabh Bachhan and last but no the least Tayyab Ali a.k.a Mukhri were there on the screen. What an kawwali, what an music. Remeber the line
Jaha jakar thaharti hai meri nazar dekhe
OR
Khuda ka shukra hai
chehra nazar to aya hai
Haya ka rang Nigahon pe
phir bhi abhi chaya hai.

Wah Bhai Wah
Song from Swinging 70's. Decade of 70's, you can love it , You can hate it but you cant ignore it

For Love of old Hindi songs

I am starting this blogspot to share my love for old hindi songs with all like minded people. I always liked old Hindia songs , but now in mid-age I am finding them to be great stress-busters. These songs are real gems survived for more than 60-70 years, enthralling generation of my parents, myself and hopefully they will continue to do so in my son's generation.

Today I would like to share one of my most favorite Hindi Song

Tera Mera pyar Amar, Phir kyon mujhko lagta hai dar.

What a song. All the words ,lyrics and music are so perfect that there is no way anyone could have made this song better than it is. Real Beauty. Though I do not know the song full , but my favourite line is -

Chalti hu main tarron per , phir kyon mujhko lagta hai dar

Girl is really happy with boy , but sill has scare of loosing him or loosing the beautiful moment they are having together. We all get this feeling time and again , Don't we? Fantastic lyrics.

On lighter note. No one has done remix of this song, atleast till now and hope no one does that anytime.

Hope you have same feeling about this song. Would be glad if someone shares full song.

I am planning to share atleast one song every 2-3 days. Lets see if time permits
